My First Acrylic Album

So here it is...my first attempt at an acrylic album. I loved working with it! There was more thinking to do than traditional scrapbook projects though! Anyway, it's my 'ode to the girls'.

That's One Huge Cupcake!

Why, yes, that is one huge cupcake. It's been a while since downloading photos from my camera and now it's time to get caught up! I made this cake for Shelby's birthday while she, Sandy and Robert were here visiting a few weeks ago. We did so much running around that I didn't break out the camera too many times but I did snap this photo of the cake before everyone came over for dinner. I'm so glad we all got to celebrate her birthday together. It was a fun visit and i'm already cussing myself for not taking more pics.

Long Time No Update?!

I swear the last two weeks have flown by. I'm back from CHA in Chicago and promptly back to work. I left on Friday and returned on Sunday. In between the long, boring flights were a ton of adorable scrapbook ideas and new products! I ordered lots of TO DIE FOR new scrapbook lines for the website. I was so excited to go to Chicago since I've never been but really, I could of been in any city. My whole world was the convention center and hotel. Gotta give some props to my boss for setting me up in a super comfy room at the Hyatt, connected to the convention center. Could not have been any easier. So I'm back and creative and full of energy (thanks to the YMCA). Lots of promises for daily blog updates inserted here!
Adding a few recent scrapped pages in honor of my weekend immersed in the scrap world.

How Was The 4th?

Ours was great. Busy and long but great. I challenged myself to just pick one good picture to post and chose this one. I like it because I caught those adorable looks - it just seems so perfect. It was taken at the Parade. I had to give myself the challenge because I took over 300 photos of the whole day! Recently I've taken to 'borrowing' Carol's super cool Cannon Rebel camera and I admit, when I have it I can't stop taking pictures. Seriously, they all turn out good! I'll never be able to keep up with the scrapbooking now. Anyway, to explain the 300 photos, we attended a parade in the morning and a BBQ that night. The BBQ included, sparklers, pond swimming and horse riding - perfect picture opportunities! I just couldn't help myself.

Mmmm, Cherries

They are absolutely my favorite snack. Fresh and not too cold, I love them. Nichole and I went over to Garret Ranch so that we could get a good deal on them (since I eat them by the pound). I wish I had snapped a pic of us buying them at the road-side fruit stand. It really is a neat place, very small town looking and adorable. Anyway I bough 10lbs and they are disapearing quickly at my house. I had planned on canning or freezing some but I'm not sure I have enough, might have to go get more!
